We have no choice in the matter. We are born. Hopefully raised by loving family. Go to school. Hopefully college. Fall in love. Get married. Have beautiful kids & then grandkids. If we are lucky enough to find God along that path..... We have hope for eternal life. That all takes about 80 years so we don't have much time.
There isn't one. Living with, enduring, and suffering through pain is all life is. Yeah we have ups, but the majority of life is downs. Make other people happy, is what everyone is going to answer this with. But what about you? Shouldn't your own happiness come before anyone's? The purpose in life.. the one thing we all have in common. Is death.
that's something everyone has to figure out for themselves. its not about making someone else happy. its about living it to the fullest and doing what makes you feel complete. You only get one chance to live. Do things just to say you did it at least once. live every day like its your last. every day is not promised. they are gifts so appreciate and make use of every single one.
In reality meaning of life is to feed yourself and your family.Eveything is only talk, trust me ,ask anyone to borrow you money no matter how much, everybody will leave you. If you ask for more everyone in your life will leave you. This is real world.
The meaning of life is whatever we choose, decide, it to be. The choice, the decision, is ours and yet we are free to seek guidance in making this choice. And it is quite apparent that, in this instance, we are not our own best guide. We have strong evidence that we have miss-guided ourselves into this stress-burdened state of existence.
there's some think sex, drugs, rock'n roll. some think whoever dies with the most toys. some think $ is the what it's all about. but those with the real big money, to where money sort of a non issue, seek power. some family and relationships. you'll get as many definitions to that as there are people. Those answers all relate to the here and now. But if life is more than that and a continuing never ending experience and death not and end, but doorway. The possibilities and new experiences are mind blowing. Some say we are here and now, on this earth, in a simple form - as in a seed form. Planted for a short time to take root / grow, start to develope - become. And it's not yet known what we shall be - but we shall see Him as He is. If He has created all this complex, colorful, textured physical world - what awaits us in the limitess possibilities of eternity?
Another way to phrase the question is "why am I here for what purpose is there life?" I myself asked that very question a number of years ago. I was trying to find an answer that made some sense. Little by little I began reading the gospels about the life of Christ Jesus I was amazed my interest in the bible began to answer those perplexing questions. This book truly answers such questions and many more with satisfying answers that you can trust and put faith in. The reason being, it contains precious counsel from our Heavenly Father who wants only the best for us. As a suggestion, get a modern day translation so that you can understand what you're reading. Pray before start reading, express what's in your heart to our loving Father. He not only hears but sees what's in your heart. Christ Jesus in prayer in to his Father in John 17 th chapter expresses the importance of taking in knowledge. Read and meditate on verse three of same chapter. Turn to 1 Tim:2:3-5 read and meditate. Knowing the true God and Christ Jesus will help you to find those answers as well as a real hope for the future. May Jehovah bless you in your efforts. jw.org
That's a good question being that when we see things around us we wonder, "what's the meaning of life?' when we live in such terrible conditions. But God had a purposeful meaning for humans when he created us (Read Genesis 2:8-9) from the beginning. But what about today...well there is hope, for the Bible tells us in Psalms. 37:29: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” This promise makes it clear that God’s basic purpose regarding the earth and mankind has not changed. I hope this was helpful and do go to the link AMATL sent you...it will clearly answer your question.

For any of our lives to have any real meaning, we need a personal relationship with Jehovah God, the Creator of the universe. (Psalms 83:18) Sadly, many today, however, have doubts that God even exists, and they therefore find it difficult to relate to him. And to make matters worse they , therefore, try to discourage anyone who has built up faith in God, hopefully this is not the case with you. By all means, continue to build on your precious relationship with him each and every day! The bible says in James 4:8 "Draw close to God and he will draw close to you". Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ said in Matthew 6:33,34 “Keep on, then, seeking first the Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you. So never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Each day has enough of its own troubles". Therefore, treasure life as a gift from God by doing God’s will now. With determination and effort, you can have genuine joy, peace, and hope. (Romans 15:13) Yes, and then your life can have greater meaning.
The meaning of life is to bring others to Christ. God doesn't need our help, but He does use us. He wants to expand His kingdom. So we as believers are to set an example for those who aren't in hopes that God will use us to help bring them to Him.
Life is like an exam,.. and heaven is the marks,if you pass the "exam" then you go to heaven, but if you fail it,you go to hell.Life is like an exam by god is ALL the subjects.Everything in Life is to learn about God(not EVERYTHING)but mostly.I hope you agree to what i'm saying.Because I think what i'm typing is true if you think it's NOT true, please comment and tell me.
Hello RLFitzer. The truth of everything, lies inside you. And the meaning of life too. Life is made for us to experience ourselves. To known our very nature. And our nature is of well being, peace, and joyfulness. You are the meaning. Your life is enough. We are here, with this great opportunity to build something. Not a kingdom of gold and silver. But a kingdom of love and harmony. Inside our very own soul. And while you're building it inside you, the world changes. That's the meaning of life to me. But it just applies to me. You gotta found your meaning. And it's singular and unique. It's you. Seek the meaning, but try from the inside out. My sincere greetings. (sorry for any writing error).
You can walk through life and ignore everyday occurrences,or you can walk through life and make a difference by doing what is right, and being a good role model for others,be a leader not a follower, one person can make a big difference.
Many have asked this question in the past. Some feel the having a great career, money and things will bring meaning or purpose to life. But after acquiring these things many if honest they will say those things are nice but they have not brought real purpose or meaning to life. Our having real meaning and purpose in life is connected to our recognizing the Source of life, our Creator, Jehovah (Psalms 36:9). In fact Jesus said at Matthew 5:3 that "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need".
