okay this is what you do: -always blow your nose and make sure that none of the mucous goes down your throat and infects it with bacteria...then... -get a cup (any kind you use, doesn't matter) - get some lemons and squeeze it into the cup (enough too be at least 3 or 4 gulps) -get honey and pour it into the same cup... -stir it well -DONT put too much honey...let it stay sour -drink it all at the same time hope this helped...I really suggest this, it always helped me!
I have severe alergies and weather issues so I have experience with these. I use throat spray -it burns but works. And if it is more from allergies I GARGLE -not swallow- water with salt in it. Sometimes it helps with weather.
Gargle mouth wash. while you're gargling, try to hit the highest note you can. Some of it may actually go down and you might swallow it but it's okay. Cough and try to hack as hard as you can. The mouthwash breaks up the thick mucus that causes sore throat. Also try ibuprofen so any swelling goes down. Just make sure you don't swallow any phlegm. and get a hot, wet rag and breathe in the vapor. Sorry for the lengthy answer lol I just got over the flu and had the same thing.
there are lots of home remidies you can do but it all depends on what the cause of youre sore throat is.if its strep throat not too much will make it feel better besides antibiotics.however if it is a flu, virus, etc there are lots of ways to relieve some of the pain, lay down with a hhot rag or heat pack on youre throat will help with the swolleness. try bringing a pot of water to a steam and stand over it inhaling the steam. warm water with diluted with salt gargling helps.things to avoid, spicey or hot food, milk, cold weather, talking alot
