Best ways to get rid and prevent acne

Report as

Wash your face twice a day: once at night, and once during your morning routine. When you wash your face, wash it gently and with warm water. The heat will open your pores and the temperature is better suited to clean than cold water. Make sure your water is not too hot so you don't burn your skin.

While there are many good skin care systems available, make sure you use the right face wash for your type of skin (oily, dry, combination or normal). Drier skin needs face wash that doesn't rob it completely of oil, while oily skin needs a stronger-than-usual formula.
Wash your hands before you wash your face. Washing your face is definitely important, but what's the use if your hands are oily and dirty to begin with? Wash your hands before you wash your face for best results
Don't wash or scrub too hard. Some people prefer to wash their face with a wash cloth, but using your hands is a gentler technique. If you're starting to develop acne, washing your face with your hands is probably the best way to go.

Avoid going through puberty. A lot of the acne teenagers get is because of hormonal fluctuations.

Exfoliate and keep your face clean. Wash every night before going to bed. Of course wash your face in the am also.

The trick is to reduce the factors that cause acne in the first place. Keep your face clean and dry. You pick up dirt and bacteria from everything you touch. So never touch your face unless you have just washed your hands first. I suggest washing your face at least 3 times per day with an acne specific soap. I also suggest you apply a benzoyl peroxide vanishing crème after you wash to help protect your skin further. Keeping your face clean and dry is the first step for reducing the risk of acne. If you get acne never pop your blemishes, ever! Popping them causes scarring, and increases your risk for infection making the acne worse. Here is a website that has a lot of good information about the truth and myths regarding acne. I hope it is useful for you. Good luck.
