Is it good to give an 8 month old karo

my mom seems to think that it is ok to give my son karo instead of formula

A baby shouldn't be given Karo syrup, instead of giving them formula. Formula is used for nutrition and as food for the baby. People have used Karo syrup, to help babies with constipation problems. Not in substitution of formula.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Karo and honey should never be given to a child under the age of 2. It can cause bachalism. I found this out when my daughter-in-law was giving my oldest grandson Karo when he was a few months old. We consulted a pediatrician and this is what he told us. You may want to ask your Dr. about Mirolax and be sure to get the correct dosage.

Kari instead of formula is a bad idea. Formula give a baby vitamins and nutrients needed to grow healthy. Kari has been used for constipation but only once in a great while and only a tiny bit at a time if at all. Check with a doctor before doing so.
