Is it ''bad'' or ''not interacting enough'' with my 17 month old if I sit on the couch? I feel I'm not doing my job as a mother or wife.

Report as

If you're sitting on your couch 8 hrs a day, not contributing to your childs brain development, then yes, you need to get up and do something about your laziness.

That's not what she said. She's not resting her feet. She is ignoring the baby.

Then she's not doing her job as a good mom.

If you are interacting with your child all day long sit down with them and both of you kick back and rest for a few. Nothing wrong with mother and child rest time during the day.

Most good parents believe in "raising " their children, and are usually proud and pleased with the results, others just "Manage" them, see if you can find and guess the difference in other children you know, or come across in public.
