Esperanza rising was a novel written by Mexican writer Pam Munoz Ryan and was published in 2000. Esperanza was the main character of the novel but the girl’s nickname was Anza. The novel is based on the plight of the Mexican working class citizens and the daily problems they face in order to live in United States.
