My hair is so tangled, like every single piece of my hair is tangled up, how do i untangle it?

I just tried using a tangle teezer and i think it just tangled it more

Go in the shower and wash it. Put a lot of conditioner on and starting from the bottom, use a wide tooth comb to get the tangles out. Might take some time. Be gentle, do not pull. Do one section at a time. Then rinse with warm water, followed by a cool rinse. That closes the hair shaft and reduces breakage.

Take a shower and use a lot of conditioner and comb out when it's still in

matthewc5: you're having so much trouble with your hair lately why don't you just shave it off and start over with fresh hair?

If it's long enough, grab a hank of hair very tightly and start brushing from the ends toward your roots. By holding your hair, you keep yourself from yanking painful snarls out by the roots. When my hair is really tangled, I brush all the ends a hank at a time. Then, I go back and brush my hair out a bit higher all the way around. Eventually, you won't be able to hold onto your hair as you brush it, but try to untangle as much of it that way as possible before you try brushing the last bit out.

If you can get to the store you might buy some detangling spray. Johnson and Johnson makes a spray that you can get in the baby section. I think L'Oreal Kids also makes a detangling spray. There are probably adult brands as well, but I've always used the two kids sprays :)

Finally, don't wash your hair before you brush it. Wet hair is much harder to detangle. As a matter of fact, if you have long hair, start brushing it before washing it. It makes it MUCH easier to brush out while it's wet.
