Does it hurt getting your cartilage pieced? (on your ear)

Report as

If you have nails pinch your ear as hard as you can and that's what it feels like.

I have Size 2 gauges and pierced them by myself.

I started with size 8 gauges because my ear was already starting to stretch because I wore BIG, HEAVY hoop earrings...

So yeah. A regular ear piercing didn't hurt too bad for me. I just had this stinging-feeling because of how fast the person did them. Then, it felt kinda sore afterwards.

But gauging you ear....

Oh god, its a totally different story...When you first gauge your ear, it hurts so freaking bad. It took me 2 hours to do it. After that, gauging is a breeze to me.

I do know the consequences if I go too big and want them closed....They will have be surgically closed up.
