People are impatient and often like instant gratification. When bad things happen people get tunnel vision. It's easy to blame God or others for problems. People like faith when it is convienent and not neccessarily when they have to apply it. God doesn't say bad things don't happen but he does say he works all things together for good. Sometimes a bad thing can end producing a better outcome than might otherwise have occurred. People try to use God like a magick wishing genie of which God is not. Regardless of your faith or lack of faith - all things in their time and season, which doesn't neccessarily coorespond to your individual desire.
Life is like a roller coaster sometimes you have good moments and sometimes you have bad ones but the truth is that you need to keep going your new apartment might be just around the corner. God is always with you this is just a test he made just for you. I know the going is tough but this is when the tough gets going. Good luck. :-)
werepanther said what i wouldve liked to say ..it just seems sort of petty to bring god into a search for a apartment..its not him its availability ..people...and everything that comes with a search for a place...its like most humans in.my mind taking the greater good for granted....my view of the greater good or god is wide open to everything..the good and the bad....and I'm.sorry to say the bad is caused by mankind ..in every aspect..and the universe runs its course ..have ever thought that ur inability to find a place has a underlying meaning..maybe u can't afford a place that ur looking for..so go smaller ..maybe wrong place so change area of search..lil things like that. open ur view to this and a place will show itself .
You're asking him for the wrong things. Don't ask him: Do this for me? Ask him: Show me how to do this. Also, whether you're talking about the god of the bible or any other god, IF they are a god, you are asking for what you WANT. You're being given what you NEED. They often aren't the same thing.
Does it relieve mankind from misery to believe that there is some God who will help them in extremity? What evidence have they on which to found this belief? When has any God listened to any prayer of any man? The water drowns, the cold freezes, the fire burns, the flood destroys, the earthquake devours, the bolt kills, the priests torture - when, where and how has the prayer of any man been answered?
Man should cease to expect aid from on high. By this time he should know that heaven has no ear to hear, and no hand to help. The present is the necessary child of all the past. There has been no chance, and there can be no interference. Man should cease to expect any aid from any supernatural god. By this time he should be satisfied that worship has not created wealth, and that prosperity is not the child of prayer. He should know that the supernatural has not succored the oppressed, clothed the naked, fed the hungry, shielded the innocent, stayed the pestilence, or freed the slave.
What kind of a God is it that will allow good men and women to be put in dungeons and chains simply because they loved Him and prayed to Him? And what kind of a God is it that will allow good men and women to be burned at the stake? If God won't love men and women in such time, then under what circumstances will he love?
Most Christian defend their God by claiming that the only prayers that are answered are those that are in line with the will of God. Of course, since no one can know what the will of God is, this gives them license to explain away any failed prayers.
I insist that, if there is an infinitely good and loving God, he beholds with pity the misfortunes of his children. I insist that such a God would know the pains, the miseries, the darknesses enveloping the human race. His pity, not his wrath, would be excited by the efforts of his poor children. I insist that the poor savage who kneels down and prays to a snake -- prays that his little children may recover from the fever -- is honest, and it seems to me that an infinitely good and loving God, if one exists, would answer his prayer if he could, because the savage heathen was doing the best he knew, and no one can do any better than that.
And yet, the history of mankind proves that there is no supernatural power that can answer prayer -- no power that prayer can persuade or change -- no power that cares for man. No god has interfered, no prayer has been answered, no help received from heaven. Nothing has ever happened for, or with reference to, man.
The concept that God is portrayed is tainted. People are greed driven not knowing what God really signifies. The greed that they can use god to get more is what motivates most towards God. The concept that spiritual worship is a gateway to riches and that prayer works from an individual's desire to materialise gains. These are none of what the real meaning of God was meant to be.
Think about how you will be affected once you do. Just today I was wondering why people suffer. In suffering we hope for an end unto it and when the end comes we are renewed with joy afresh and motivated every time we realize our days of suffering has passed. Heaven is said to be joy unspeakable and full of glory. Surely we will rejoice and filled with joy unspeakable. Our sufferings only last for a season while our joy last for a lifetime. surely some suffer for a lifetime but think about how they will be affected each time they think about how their suffering has ended and there is nothing but perpetual bliss for all of eternity. Now to those who suffer and endure with faith. Thats a whole different ball game. Joy and honor wait for them in heaven. Trust in The Lord. You have reason to. Faith is the reason to believe. It becomes hard to trust in the lord when you can't find it.

Did you know that men of God in times past asked questions like that? When the prophet Habakkuk, for example, saw the despicable state of affairs that existed among God’s people, he lamented: “How long, O Jehovah, must I cry for help, and you do not hear? How long shall I call to you for aid from violence, and you do not save? Why is it that you make me see what is hurtful, and you keep looking upon mere trouble?” (Habakkuk 1:2, 3) You can trust God because Jehovah cares about you! (1Peter 5:7) And although he allows bad things to happen , he also provides loving comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4) Isn't it wonderful to know that God will soon put a end to the bad things! Why, all traces of the bad things we have experienced or seen will eventually be erased! (Isaiah 65:17; 1 John 3:8) By taking advantage of all the provisions God makes to help us cope, you can do your part in proving Satan a liar. In time, ‘God will wipe out every tear from your eyes.’—Revelation 21:3, 4. (Please visit www.jw.org)
The Bible states that God is not to blame for human suffering. James 1:13 states: “When under trial, let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone.” The idea that God is to blame for suffering is out of harmony with God’s personality. One of God’s primary qualities is love. (1 John 4:8)
God allows suffering to continue at present for good reasons. Have you ever noticed that often it’s people who cause suffering to others. Many bullies and tyrants who inflict pain are unwilling to change their ways. So for God to remove a major cause of suffering, he will have to destroy such people.
To explain why God has not yet destroyed those who do wrong, the apostle Peter wrote: “Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) Jehovah God’s patience is an expression of his loving and merciful personality.
Soon, though, Jehovah God will act. He will “repay tribulation to those who make tribulation” for the innocent. - 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9.
