I would have to go with FDR although there are things I admire about a number of presidents and an equal number of things I detest, he gets more likes than dislikes from me. I thought Kennedy erred big time on Cuba, I thought Nixon did a great job on china, etc
Most historians credit George Washington or Abraham Lincoln was the best president. My personal preference is George Washington, but a strong case can be made for Lincoln. Progressives tend to like FDR. A few crazies think Bush or Obama deserve mention. I think the verdict of history takes 50 years-- Nixon's opening of China is just now being examined.
Hard to tell different times and situations for each All achieved highest post But after fast and furious IRS Ben ghazi Deteriorating world policies Obamacare and in the same timetable Roosevelt won www2 3 years Obama couldn't even get a website working Obama will go down as worst American idol president
I think George Washington. This is mainly because he set the standard for future Presidents. Everyone after him, except for that statist in the 30s, stayed no more than 2 terms in office. He could have been a dictator. The chance was there. He was loved by the people as a war hero. But he chose otherwise.
