If you use it as a weapon, leaving a note telling someone "look what you made me do." That's bad, and while I don't believe in hell as such, I do believe you will be called to account for things you DELIBERATELY did to hurt someone. I believe life is meant, among other things, to teach us things, and suicide, if applicable, should be put off until there is absolutely, positively nothing else to do. Just because life hurts is not sufficient reason.
I don't think anyone has a rational answer... however, if you kill yourself I can guarantee that those you leave behind (mom, siblings, friends) will certainly be left in a living hell to pick up the pieces... It is the single most selfish thing a human being can do... If you or anyone you know is contemplating, please seek help, it's closer and easier than you think!

It doesn't directly say in the bible weather or not you will go to hell for suicide. I really think it depends on your state of mind. God will be the judge either way. Some people are severely depressed and past thinking of anything else and some are mentally ill. I think it's too complicated to be a "yes" or "no" question. Good question though! I wonder the same thing. I think suicide isn't the answer, but I don't think all who commit it are damned to hell.
No. Your body, mind and whole being is not yours. God gave it to YOU to take care of always. Eat foods that are very good for you, do not abuse it with toxic things like booze, smoking anything and any kind of drugs that a Dr. does not give you. Your body and needs to be kept healthy. Talk to a friend, therapist, minister a Crisis Line/phone.
My personal answer would be no if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior that's it you will go to heaven period, but when you get there you will have to face God and tell him why you did what you did, hope that helped:)
Suicide is a long term solution to a temporary problem. If you have an issue deal with it. Killing yourself is selfish because you end up hurting the ones that love you. The bible says do unto others as you want them to do unto you. How would you feel if you wake up one morning and find out that everyone that loves you kill themselves ? I believe if you belong to God you will not resort to suicide therefore I would say I don't envy those who chose this route. I'll be sensitive and leave it as that
YES ! because God wants u to love him and if u kill ur self u die with HATE/SADNESS Really don't do it if u reel like u mean nothing to anyone think and remember to God u matter more than u can understand.

yes! suicide is sin. and the religion of the person doesn't matter. What they believe doesn't matter, it matters whay kind if person you are in your life and God judges that and He doesn't want us to go before He thinks our time should be done.
If your thinking of doing this, Don't!!! Talk to a professional if you need to. There is nothing on this earth that is too hard for us to deal with! There is a reason you are here at this point in time, and I believe that a lot of teens who do commit suicide don't fully understand what they are doing, so no they wouldn't go to hell.
Suicide is sin, and sin separates us from God BUT the blood of Jesus covers our sin if we repent...so....if someone committed suicide, but was a believer and in their last seconds repented, they are forgiven! Even more so, I would say, that God searches a man's heart...only He knows if a person is mentally ill, or even of an "age of accountability"...what if the person has mental retardation...surely that person if they are severe enough, has the mind of a child and therefore is not accountable. What about the 10 yr. old girl who was on the news a little bit ago who committed suicide because her classmates were bullying her and when she sought help from the teacher, the teacher told her to stop being a tattletale. There are commandments and laws but above all else God's mercy and love covers a multitude of sin! That is not to say that you can use God's gift of Grace as a "get out of hell free card"..because again, God knows your heart. But I do not believe for one minute that my loving Savior who resides in my heart would send a 10 yr. old hurting girl to hell. If anything, those bullies and that teacher need to repent before THEY meet THEIR maker!
Religious beliefs aside, the rules must be the same for everyone, just as it is here on earth. I can see serial killers and rapists going to a hell, but not the troubled souls for whom death becomes a solution. I know there's a God but don't believe we're rounded up and sent through doors #1, 2, or 3. With no evidence or proof all each of us has is faith, ask 10 people and you'll get 10 different beliefs. So, do suicides go to hell? Your faith is as good as mine.
You: 1 hour ago I agree with graperepublic, in that, if you are having thoughts of suicide you need to get help from people who are trained to listen to your reasons to want to die and ways to cope with your problems. If you get nothing else from those that have answered you, please re-read the lines above about the devastating effects on family, friends and others in your community or others in your school, that right now you cannot see, would make a difference to them. The fact is the people that love and care about you will never get over you taking your own life, and instead they will remain in an endless cycle of guilt, blame and unanswered questions about why they missed the signs of your intentions and why they could not help you. Trust me on this, my cousin offed himself 4 years ago and none of really know why he did it. We are in a living hell over this. Please seek help and see that tomorrow WILL BE better than today. Just reach out your hand to someone. I care!
Justus. I read your comments. Remember, your belief system came from your environment. 5 billion of the 7 billion people on this planet are not Christian! What is their fate, a building expansion in hell? Nowhere in the Bible does it say you go to hell for not believing in Christ. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Just think of the lifetime punishment your family would have to live with. Hang in there.
It has been proven that there is a life after this one. Many people have died and come back with near death experiences. One person said the spirits of those who killed themselves were laying around sickly on cots needing serious help. Suicide doesn't help you escape the problems, you just get worse problems in the next life.
There is always hope. That is why we have a Savior in this and the next life to help us overcome our problems - have support, love, comfort, forgiveness in our challenges. This life is hard, but there is a way to overcome things because we have a body.
In the next life, it's a lot harder to change without having a physical body. It's like being stuck seemingly forever in a difficult state waiting for the resurrection. It's like clay, it's pliable and workable, but when the clay solidifies there is no more changing. Your body is like clay. If you die in your despair and negativity, it's still there in a more permanent state with your spirit separated.
No, you just go away from those who love you, creating great sadness for those who have done nothing but nurtured you. Those who don't love you, don't care enough. Yeah, you just go away missing the best part of your existence, Life.
Daniel chapter chap.7 vs 10 judgement is the court of all mighty God Catholic jew or gentile it is a dangerous for us to sit in the judgement seat, If you answer the following 3 questions Yes according to the King James Bible A persons is saved from the torment of hell it is also a insurance policy against any life events that would have previuosly had a life sentance accompaning the Devil here they are 1) The first 10 words in the Bible are in the begining God created the heavens and the earth do you believe that is the truth Yes or No. 2)Do you believe Jesus Christ was the son of God Yes or no 3) and most important do you believe Jesus Christ was sent by Almighty god to give his life as payment to save us from a life sentance in hell if anyone reading this answers yes to these questions accroding to Daniel 7:10 your name is in the book of life that book is in heaven guarded by angels and only God has the power to blot it out to my knowledge his eraser has never been used, our personal opinions are not recorded in the Bible and are not binding in the court of almighty God.questions or comments can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org Godspeed

Why do you want to commit suicide I'm saying now its not the way to go my aunt killed herself and it hurt me if you do it it will hurt your family there's so much ahead of you amd its not worth doing it
If you have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and 100% believe that He came to the earth and died for your sins then you are saved and will go to Heaven. You are secure in knowing that you are Heaven bound......however, God gave you life and only HE HAS THE RIGHT TO TAKE IT AWAY.
yes, suicide is sinful, you will go to hell for doing so, if you need to talk to someone you can email me, im a good listener and plus i can try to help you through it, i have been there and i know what its ike your not alone so please if you want to talk im here for. my email is email@example.com please if you dont wanna talk to me then please talk to someone. God bless you and you are in my prayers
I think you have your own answer in asking the question. If you feel the need to ask if you might go to hell for doing it,then this IS already the religious belief that you have.Likewise, the family and friends, those close and NOT so close, live in certain kind of hell after a loved one has committed suicide. ALL things pass,so if one is going through something and thinking in this way, they should try to keep in mind these facts. That said suicidal feelings that continue for a long period of time are best addressed on a medical and psychological level,as well as the spiritual level.
No one truly knows except those who have committed suicide and they CAN'T come back and let us know! That being said, no, I do NOT believe you'll go to "hell"-I believe we make our own heaven or hell right here on earth. BUT-remember this-what seems like the end of the world right now won't mean a thing in 6 months. Life is truly good. I tried to commit suicide years ago and am very happy that I didn't succeed-I'm married to the best man in the world & we just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. Give things time to work out before you give up, ok?
I know you may not read this all the way down here but here's my two cents, hope this helps: If you believe in God, and that he creates everything in his eyes perfect, then that means he created you, perfect as you are. To kill yourself, a creature of God because you believe you are anything less than perfect, is taking Gods work away from his hands. The only place left to go is into Satan hands.
I personally believe that God is welcoming and compassionate to all because we are his creatures, and that the bible gives us great guidelines on how to live a good life as a good person, but that's just me.
No matter what your faith is, work on liking yourself and finding out who you are and why you're here before you go taking something so precious away from yourself, you can't come back and try again. Everyday is a new day to start over and you will need everyone of them to live a full, happy healthy life. Take baby steps if you have to but find away to move forward because your life can be great but you gotta keep going. Love to you! Good luck!
