Music? This garbage is MUSIC? A woman wearing undies and shoes with heels made to look like a penis to disguise the fact that her only real talent is writing, not singing?? With all rap sounding alike? You take the words from any rap "song" you choose and say them to the beat of any other rap "song" you choose and they all fit together-where is the creativity? As Ray Charles said, "I could rap when I was 6-what's the big deal now?" You have girls being called crude names in the "music", dressed like hookers & shaking their behinds while leaning on some pimp-looking guy's car, and that's talent? Hardly. Where is your equivalent of the greats, like the Beatles, the Stones, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Howlin' Wolf, Bob Dylan, etc? You poor kids-you were born long after the era of great music-all you have are the rotten left-overs. Nickelback? A poor imitation of past music. Rap? Talking in rhyme isn't worth the term of "music". All the female singers sounding like clones of each other, as in r&b & country. Boring.......you'll never really know what the definition of GOOD music is. Yes, you have the right to listen to what you choose, even if it s*cks.
A lot of kids are listening to heavy rock which isn't a very good influence. Kids ould listen to Michael Jackson to get them grooving! So what ids ae listening to is a bad influence. An I think its the language in songs that give kids a bad impact, like when they hear sex they ask someone in school what it means and when they hea bad words they say them without knowing what they mean and they eventually find out and use it more!
It has a huge impact on kids and their minds. Most of it is satanic music and it's effects the way they think and then their actions want to follow. The only music that doesn't do that is good godly Christian music
It leaves a good and bad impact. Because in a good way it tells life experiences about that person. The only bad impact that the music leaves is it makes us kids want to do those things, and the heavy metal music that we listen to makes our modes change.
Although I agree that the messges in a LOT of modern music is totally inappropriate for the youth, it is not just music, it is TV, lack of real role models, parents that should not be parents, parents that don't have time to be parents b-cuz they are working themselves to death just to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads.
Everyone has their opinion I love some of the rap I love music period my kids who are now grown and are doing very very well in their lives listen to all kinds of music including rap! Did not hurt them or me at all!
The impact music has on children today is in direct correlation to the impact a Childs parents have. Basically the negative or positive influence music can have is determined by the parent. If you allow your child to listen music about rape, murder, and drugs. Allowing that to shape there view of the world. You have only your self to blame when they grow up to be bad people. The fault lies with the parents. Well the parents and John mayer, because he is the Antichrist.
I think music has a great impact on kids and adults alike. It can be good or bad depending on how a certain song or medley makes you feel. I personally love Christian music because when I listen to it, whether it is contemporary, gospel there is even Christian Rap and Heavy metal / rock. I know that the music speaks to me. I like other types of music too. We need to teach our kids how listen to how the music affects us, and to chose for themselves, whether is a good feeling or not. But parents also can try to understand there choices (they always have to like what they listen to)(that's what headphones are for) But if a parent has concern about their kids choice of music should try to have calm discussion about it. This is just my opinion.
