If i put a 1000 watt subwoofer and a 600 watt subwoofer together will a 1500 amp work turned all the way up

Report as

im confused as to why you would want two different subs, first of all. but probably, the actual power they will be using is about half the watt rating (1000 watt sub=500 watt rms), so actually youd only be using 800 watts of the amp. you dont have to turn it up all the way. heck, ive seen 1500 watt subs run off of 250 watts and bump hard.

If I recall, 1000 watts & 600 watts stand for the maximum watt input, and also, you should turn an amp about halfway at the most or you have a pretty big chance of blowing the speaker or speakers.
