When did the european start to use the printing press

Printing had spread to no less than 236 cities in twelve European countries by the end of the 15th century, As early as 1480, printers were active in 110 different places in some of the cities in Europe. By then, it was almost known that the printed book was in universal use in Europe.

Guttenberg 16th century was the first printing press, although china had been printing on paper some hundreds of years before!
