Would he got to prison?

If my daughter who was 15 had a sexual encounter with a 24 year old man but had lied to him about her age, would he still go to prison if we filed child support. (She is 16 now and about to get emancipated)

Yes, he would still go to prison. I would highly doubt he didn't know. That's the story being told to keep him out of trouble.

Okay. Just know that I have to get the washer out and work on the truck in a few minutes. I only came back on to take a little break. :-)

You mean he's the father of your grandkid? Honestly, your daughter is trouble and it's her own fault.

A 15-year-old cannot give consent. Whether she lied or not has no bearing. The onus is on the adult to know. I'm sure he knew she was underage. This needs to be addressed. He may become attracted to girls younger and younger and he, and his information, (DNA) need to be in the system to help protect other kids. Please being this to the attention of the police. If you don't, a lot of people will wonder why later.

1) She was 15 when it happened, so she can't say she wanted it. Well, a judge won't take her word for it.
2) He's 24, which means he can go to jail. Whether you press charges or not.
3) He will be considered a sex-offender. Which I believe he already is, because there's no way he couldn't tell that your daughter was 15.

There's no way to get him out of this. You need to report him, because I'm sure you daughter isn't the only one he's done this to. There's some girl out there, wanting to come forward, but she's afraid. You know what's best for your daughter and this guy needs to be locked away and registered before he does this again.

Thank you. I speak from personal experience. I was raped when I was 13 and I was afraid to come forward. I knew my attacker, I saw him 3 maybe 4 time after that and one day, I walked to the police station and turned him in. When they got him, they found out he had raped 6 other girls and two were pregnant. I was afraid of him, he was bigger than me, but the police took all precautions to make sure he never bothered me again. Maybe he didn't rape her daughter, but he's robbed her of her childhood. Something she'll never get back, and something I lost at a young age.

Are you asking if he goes to jail, would you not get child support? If he's not able to work, he has no money.

He will still be arrested and also put on the list of sexual predators.
