Go with what the Bible says, not people. Their is scripture about this subject. You aren't suppose too. Does this mean you'll go to h-ll? I don't think so. This choice is between you and God. What I suggest is you look up scripture on the matter, and pray about it.
Really Christian? The Bible says that tattoos are wrong but it's up to the person if they want tattoo or not. God will forgive them if they get it so it's not bad. My uncle has a tattoo of a cross and one of Jesus.
I personally feel God has bigger things to be concerned with than a tattoo. It would be chosen in good taste if you are a christian(not a skull or devil). I hope. There are some mortorcycle christian gangs with many tattoos. They reach those in gangs that need to hear the good news.
If you are going to get a tattoo remember it is permanent, or would require surgery to remove (scarring). Make sure you go to a reputable tattooist, piercing the skin and injecting dye runs the risk of infection. Think about what you want. Maybe try a fake one and see if you get fed up with it. Then the choice is yours. Oh and follow the structions of taking care of it while it heals.
Leviticus 19:28: “You must not make cuts in your flesh for a deceased soul, and you must not put tattoo marking upon yourselves. I am Jehovah.” If you are a Christian, you would certainly not want to make markings on your body even temporarily that smack of paganism or false worship.—2 Corinthians 6:15-18. The prohibition would also have impressed upon them a proper respect for the human body as God’s creation, to be used in honoring him.—Ps 100:3; 139:13-16; Ro 12:1.
