Should i quit my job after 7yrs to accept a job and co ownership of a new company in the same field?

offered a position with a brand new company, driving a brand new truck, 10% ownership of company but have to surrender my union pension and bennys because they cant afford to contribute to that yet. also they have a pr guy but want me to bring everything i have to the table such as my skills, experience, contacts yet they are asking me to sign a non compete contract. also i dont know them i know their son in law who will be major interest holder in this new family business.

Stay where you are. Having union benefits and a union pension is huge. They want your experience and what happens if this doesn't work out. You would be without a job again. The economy is not strong enough, for you to give up everything.

I wouldn't after seven yes, the fact is , if you don't fit I'n or I'n a short time someone doesnt like u , your security could be gone In a days work I would love to think u should do what makes you happy but that doesn't pay the bills

Don't give up what you've already earned. If they want you that bad, YOU tell THEM what's going into your new "contract".
