What dog had fur that doesn't soak up water and the dog can be used for bear hunting and if a mountain jumps us the dog won't get to hurt?

I'm planning on hunting bear in a place also known as mountain lion country so I thought I'd need a companion that can take a bear or a mountain with only getting minor injuries and I don't want him to get cold or wet so the fur needs to be kind of water proof. I need good obedience too and can be gentle enough to crush anything in it's jaws like a squirrel if I take him squirrel hunting. So I need a big dog that can be gentle and obedient and a good companion (most dogs are good companions I know). I know it's not unheard of for dogs to take on big animals like mastiffs can take on lions.

This is the reality. There is no dog that can last 1 minute with a mountain lion, or any wolf for that matter. It would require maybe 4 wolves to take a mountain lion. Also, I don't know what kind of bears your hunting but if its a grizzly, they are really big. But, black bears can be small, like the biggest black bear isn't really that big.

If you think a mastiff can take on a lion that is silly. A mountain lion is a lot bigger and faster than you think.

But, with that being said probably a German shepherd would be a good bet, or maybe a wolf hybrid. Wolf hybrid is probably best made for this kind of stuff, especially if its closer to the wolf side.

Sorry, dude .. There IS no breed of dog that is indestructible. Using dogs for hunting aggressive animals is obtusely risky .. especially for the dog. Hounds are fast and agile and can tree a bear .. but will not win a confrontation. A bigger heavier dog may not be so fast or agile .. but, will also not necessarily win a confrontation with a grizzly or even a mountain lion (for instance).

A large dog CAN take on a big animal like these .. but, will not come out unscathed .. ONE swipe from a "big" cat can do MUCH damage. They don't back down and will fight to the death if they have to.

Sorry but I think you are hoping for to much... I don't think any types of dog can take on a. Bear or mountain lion without getting major injuries. But very obedient dogs or Germans Shepard. Or a pit bull pit bulls are good for battle ing they may be good but really I dont think you are able to find one to fit all your needs. But training is major
