Why does February has 28 days clear when all the rest of the months have 30 or 31?

Report as

It was the last month added to the calendar, and those were how many days were left in the year.

Really the people making calendars messed up because they should have just done 13 months instead of 12, and it all would have been 28 days (which is typically a lunar month anyways), but you know they had to do the whole 30/31, and oh here 28. XD

There was originally another zodiac sign as well right? Ophiucus? I think they had to get grid of it to accommodate the 12 month calendar. I think my birthday actually falls in that other sign.

With the zodiac thing there's always been tropical vs sidereal, so it was just a matter of which one someone was using. Tropical just ended up being more popular in "western" astrology for whatever reason.

It just somehow garnered media attention a few years back, like it was something new, but it's been around for a while. I'm not sure how many people really paid any attention to the "new" rules. XD

Blame the Romans. The Celtic calender had 13 months, as Sephira would have asked for.
