What's a good present to bring to a house warming party?

Not looking to spend too much money, but want to bring a nice thoughtful gift to a friends housewarming party. Suggestions?

Usually, only people you know invite you to their house-warming parties... and that should be your biggest clue, right there. House-warming parties are thrown to celebrate the new place to live with family and/or co-workers and friends... but also, the newly-moved person hopes to GET LOOT that will decorate and/or upgrade the way the place looks and/or how nicely they can live in it. If the person enjoys cooking ... or hates it, has little time for it ... but has a family (spouse, kids)... kitchen gadgets and small cooking appliances make good gifts. If this person throws parties quite a bit, I'd go with a gift-set that could be used in serving party guests. If the host/hostess is someone you know to have only a couple of close friends, who talks as though they spend a lot of time in front of the TV or video-game-player, I'd go with throw-pillows, Snuggies, a DVD or video game... or some kind of TV-snack serving set. If the move happened because of a new love-interest or a marriage... or if this person is "really focused in on a significant other" (she talks about almost nothing but the boyfriend)... I'd still go with something like a TV-snack serving set (for 2) and try to find one that can be "personalized" (her name+her partner or spouse's name and either their wedding date, the date they met, the date of the move). ... And if you know the person pretty well, you should know their favorite colors. If not, try to find out which colors they'll be wanting to use to decorate the room where they would most likely use whatever gift you're buying, so you can choose the gift in "the right color".

A nice house plant is a nice gift. Maybe a small lemon tree :)

I like to bring/give something that will either add a touch of decoration or give them something they might need. I think plants are typical, maybe a piece of artwork, or perhaps a kitchen gadget.

A nice gift basket with candles and decorations. The range is normally about 30 dollars. Its warm, and it matches the season....flowers and a pie is also nice. But I feel the candles and fall decor is most appropriate.
