How to write a sentence in an academic way

how can i say i want to go to the status of liberty but in a good way or more academic? better than " i would like to go to..."

First you need to correct the spelling error, (Statue not status) and I would capitalize Statue of Liberty. Now for the answer what you were looking for. "I am interested in going to the Statue of Liberty."
