Ways I can fall asleep fast? Please Help!

Please help. I'm having really hard time sleeping and it's late. I have to get up early tomorrow and I'm desperate so I'm open for ANYTHING. what can I do? I don't have any medicine.

Step one: turn off your phone.
Step two: get a big glass of water.
Step three: make sure your room isn't too hot or too cold.
Step four: go to the bathroom (after that big glass of water;) )
Step five: lie down in your bed, close your eyes, and start making up a movie in your head.
You'll be asleep in no time!

"Start making a movie in your head" Is absolutely correct probably more than you know! The word Head is changed to Mind and the Movie becomes Mental Pictures of peaceful scenic scenes. 2+2=meditation. see my profile Mister Bruce 2-17-14)

You should avoid drugs/medications where possible. There are other solutions.

Don't eat more than 2 hours before sleeping, avoid caffeine more than 12 hours before sleeping, don't do heavy exercise right before sleeping, think about 1 thing.

You can always try ZzQuill, you can buy it at Walgreens or CVS. May not work for all people though, but it surely helps me sleep.

Benedryl for tonight
But I would get some melatonin for future hard times to help you fall asleep. It's more natural. You can get it at your drugstore like walgreens or even walmart would be cheaper. It's not expensive. Hope you catch some ZZzzz's

"Bath" Excellent suggestion but I an not to certain that 'folks' take the time to take a rewarding relaxing bath. I do every chance it get. Mister Bruce 2-17-17

god,this word was taken from your profile. He is the answer when it comes to people problems of situations e.g. can't sleep as you indicated. Sleeping takes a bit of mind training. to start with Positive constructive Affirmations B-4 drifting or preparing to drift off to to a rewarding restful sleep. The suggestion (affirmation) must be the same after prayers If you say prayers. I am Relaxed, and I will sleep soundly and peacefully throughout the night.One time I suggested to a women who had sleep problems to rehearsed in her mind the song Silent Night. I belive she said she doesn't have any meds. Right Kitty? I suggest that you try and think about your dreams of the future, I mean about what you want the future to look like. Just get carried away with it. Let your mind just give itself over to your thoughts. I think you'll be drifting off pretty soon after that. GBY

Don't think about anything on purpose. Don't try to do anything special. Don't try breathing differently, don't try to make yourself stop thinking, don't force your eyes closed. Don't think about the passage of time or what you have to do. Let your mind flow, naturally, and carry on as usual and you will open your eyes next in the light of day.

It is true. When trying to fall asleep, do not think about anything. But here is the question: how to deal with the thoughts that fill your head? How to forget about them?
