I have a thorn in my thumb and the wound has closed and I thought that it was fine but it's now swelling. What can I do for it?

It has been about three to four weeks since I got the thorn

Take a sewing needle to the area and try to get it out. It may hurt, but it'll stop any infection that may be starting. After it's out, put antibacterial cream on the wound.
