If you believe in a deity who created the universe and intervenes in the lives of humans, you are a theist. If you believe this deity created the universe, but does not intervene in the lives of humans, you are perhaps a deist. If you are not sure about which camp you fall in to, you are simply agnostic on the issue of god or gods, although anyone who is not absolutely convinced regarding the reality of god or gods -- whether theist, deist, or atheist -- is also an agnostic. How agnostic they are varies by degrees.
A regular person that doesn't think he/she has all the answers and doesn't believe in a bunch of religious crap yet still believes that there is a God and Creator. Different people may have different beliefs. They are individuals. They may or may not be confused. Maybe they know exactly what they believe but their beliefs don't fit into any traditional religion. If you're looking for a label for such a person I don't think there is one. How about individual who leads instead of following a status quo?
