What to do with curly hair?

I HAVE SHORT AND VERY HEAVY BLACK CURLY HAIR THAT REACHES A LITTLE BEYOND MY SHOULDERS. i dont know what to do with it. i need to know how to style it WITHOUT PRODUCTS OR HEAT. also suggest some hairstyles i could do for school. we need to keep our hair tied at school.

Just let it be. Curly hair is so different that it's cool. All people want straight hair now, so you'll stand out and look like your own person and not a clone of everyone else much better if you just leave it.

I wish I had curly hair. :( Just leave it that way, it's really unique, and probably very pretty.

If you start feeling insecure about your hair just remember: There's people out there who would die to have hair just like yours. (Im one)

Maybe you could get it thinned out so it won't be so thick. Or if you don't want the products because they take too much time and feel yucky, maybe you could get a perm in your hair and instead of curling your hair comb it straight. Then you will have straight hair. Or since your hair is short you can put extensions in it or you can spritz your hair with water and take some colored eye shadow (rub it on your fingers) then put it into strips of your hair to give you some temporary pretty colors in your hair.

They said their hair is naturally curly. So no matter how much they brush or comb through it, it will still be curly.

I no they said their hair is naturally curly. I also know that if you put a perm in your hair and you brush it straight while the perm is drying, your curly hair will become straight for about 4 to 6 months.

I have a friend who tried that a few years back, and she ended up having to pay close to $200 to get it fixed.

wow well people in my family do hair professionally and have had no problem with it. wondering if they may have put the solution on too long and burned their hair?
Report as
No idea. She just showed up in class one day with straight yet fried hair and paid a ton of money to fix it.
Report as
yes if her hair was fried they left the perm in to long.
