How do you close a debate in class ?

In one of my classes we were asked to have a debate on if we think Racism has gotten better since the 1930's and I'm not sure how to close the debate.

You state or reiterate on the facts you had presented in your stance; and draw an inference, a conclusion for audience, to support. Actually racism is pretty much the same, what has improved are the laws dealing with hate.
