My neighbor keeps his dog outside, all day the dog barks and cries. What can I do about this?

I wake up from the dogs barking everyday now, I love dogs but, what can I do about the owner?

That is so sad. Does he keep him out all day and night? I would talk to him about the barking and suggest he find someone who wants a pet who will take care of him properly.

You could go to your neighbors house and talk to him about it and voice your problems in a calm and rational manner and just try and compromise and come up with something that could possibly fix it….. hope this helped

Depends on where you live. Some places regulate how long a dog can be outside. You would need to check with you local animal control to find out if here is a law where you are. Also if the dog is left outside in extreme temperatures you can report your neighbor for cruelty. Before you do any of that, politely talk to your neighbor. Do not take an accusatory stance. Just say you have heard the dog the dog and wonder if everything is ok. If they say yes, then offer some solutions. Keeping the dog inside. Or maybe the dog is not getting enough exercise (or attention) and a dog walker or doggy daycare might help.

Well I mean there isn't much that you can do. You can go over there and tell him how you feel politely. Other than that it's his freedom to leave his dog outside.

We've had a similar issue with our upstairs neighbor. Call your local Animal Control or police.

Call your local animal control and report it, you can specifically request a wellness check. I've known dogs who's lives were saved because someone else cared enough to report.
