I woke up this morning with pain in my chest, and I'm fifteen, what could it mean?

Report as

It is most likely a muscle cramp. There are small muscles surrounding each rib and bigger ones surrounding the rib cage. Any of them can cramp up after a good sleep. That can last for days to weeks. It can also be gas, if the pain is below your heart but that shouldn't last more than a day.
If you develop any other symptoms in the mean time like breathing issues, dizziness, nausea, fever etc. that can be something else. Then see a doctor.

Did you lift weights? Your muscles could be sore

Could be asthma, a pulled muscle from sleep apnea, something lungs related.
Could be heartburn (stomach problems) if it's in the center of your chest.
Could be your heart, but that's rare at fifteen.
You should see a doctor in any case.

It means inform your parents. They should know your health history. Let them make the decision.

I had a pain in my chest and it turned out to be a pulled muscle. The strange thing was that it didn't hurt any worse when I did push ups, so I didn't make the connection. You should tell your parents and see a doctor. Don't worry, it probably isn't serious, but you are better off getting it checked out. Also, the doctor help you figure out if you need to change something about how you exercise or lay in bed so the pain will go away faster.
