How could an employee fight for unjust decision of laid him off at the end of his first three months of hiring ?

My brother got laid off at the end of his firs three months of hiring . He is 100% believing that this decision is unjust and he has been cheated by his employer .

It happens all the time, esp if there was a trial period. In many states an employer can fire or lay off at any time without cause. Unless your brother is in a Union then there isnt much he can do. Its how life is in todays work world.

But my brother's case is different . He was blamed for mistakes he never did . The employer met him 2 weeks prior the day of laying off . He was told you are doing great job , but you need to work on some points . The decision shocked him

It doesn't matter, the employer has an advantage...in an "at will" employment state you can fire and hire at will...sorry

They can fire anyone at anytime via exceptions- pregnant, discrimination, sexism, or sexual harassment
