Is power a conservative quantity like energy and momentum ?

Can you prove mathematically that power is conservative in a closed loss-less system?

Assuming, by power, you mean electricity, it really depends on what the circumstances are. In other words, sort of!

I'm talking in general, power is defined as the rate of change of work. I come from an engineering background where studied that input power to any system is equal to the output power. However, I found few examples in which this is not true (such as the swing equation for electric generator), so I want to know, is power conservative in any system and I just misunderstood these examples , or is it otherwise ?
