How do I convince my parents to let me have either a hamster or a python

I want either one but I think I have a better chance with the hamster. my gramma said shell ask my mom if she can buy me one but I REALLLLLLY want one

I urge you not to get a python because they are indigenous only to Africa, Asia, and Australia and belong in the wild. It would be a potential danger to the public and an act of cruelty for the snake to have to live in captivity. There are already so many domesticated animals needing homes, consider the hamster. Sometimes shelters even have hamsters and guinea pigs. Actions speak louder than words, if you have been responsible about caring for your dog then your parents will be more likely to agree to another pet. If you haven't been then you better get busy and show them you deserve another pet!

A hamster would be a much better idea ;) all snakes should be allowed to live outdoors where they belong.

To convince your parents to let you have a hamster, convince them why you need the pet. You can tell them that at a pet like hamster is a great choice because it is of very low maintenance and is way cheaper than buying other pets. In my opinion, I would advice that you don't tell them about the python since it may be dangerous.

I all ready have a dog and I love him but dogs are so mainstream
Report as
Macci, there's a reason why dogs ate mainstream and snakes aren't. Alien is right, get a dog.

Oops ate? Haha ARE mainstream ^ Damb these tiny buttons! If you already have a dog ... do you think it's a good idea to have a PYTHON? You'll come home from summer school one day and your dog, who usually greets you at the door, is nowhere to be found ... and the snake cage is empty ... you find the snake behind the couch ... why does it look like its pregnant? ... Hmmm, that's weird, I thought it was a boy snake ... hey where's Rufus? ... Rufus! Here boy! ... You hear a muffled whimper coming from the snake ... then it hits you ...

But my dog is so lonely all by him self and I can't get another dog
Report as
Well a snake isn't gonna keep your lonely dog company. It'll hug him though. Really tight, too.

Well if you get the snake your gunna need the hamster too, (food) so I think that's outa the question if u have to do convincing in the first place.
Depending on how old u r deems the amount of responsibility u have (ruffly) so if ur young just do the I need to start learning responsibility's more & have to start somewhere-type thing for the hamster.

Show them you are responsible. Make a contract that lists the things you will take responsibility for. Also educate yourself and them about your pet of choice, and they will certainly take your request more seriously.
