Can you ever find love like in the movies?

Report as

Yes and no. Cannerbug's answer is spot on. Disagreements can turn into arguments, but that's necessary in establishing a bit of give and take.

Actually it's virtually impossible for me to argue with Daizy because we have a little Jack Russell-Chihuahua cross, and if we start shouting the dog stands alongside Daizy and barks at me. It means that every argument dissolves into laughter in seconds.

If you want a good relationship, buy a dog.

(Let's see waldorff's cat top that one.)

This sounds perfect, just like the movies!! Better! :))

Dozy! Do you never get to win at anything?!?
Report as
@Bubbles: Yup. Better.

@Raleigh: Well, indirectly. I think I just demonstrated that my dog is better than waldorff's cat.

Love like in the movies do exist, it's all about a commitment that the two of you will make. You can make it worthwhile, you can waste each other's time as well if not serious in your relationship.

There is no such thing as movie love. Love is love . It happens the way it does. In movies their just actors .

Yes there are alot of people who truthly love each other, i was reading a truth story of a man who married his girlfriend when he was 16 and she was 15 now they are 102 yers old and the girl is 101 they said they never lost love for each other and that they love each other more as time pass, also they never cheated, broke up or anything but of course everyone have problems sometimes and so did they too.

You can find love, but it won't be like in the movies. In the movies love is portrayed as perfect. In real life they're are lots of arguments and such, but if you love each other enough you'll get through all of it.

It's funny...the movies always end when the characters realize they're in love. It never shows 5, 10, or even 30 years down the road and all the trials and tribulations couples must go through.

That why romcoms need sequels. Like whatever happened to Harry and Sally?

True love stories exist!! It's hard work... What was that line in the notebook... Something like. " it's not going to be easy, you are a pain in the a$$!" ; ))
Report as
I LOVE the notebook! I love Ryan Gosling in that movie. " you've got like a five second rebound 'till you're found the next pain in the ass thing!" I love how he says that, plus he's so damn hot!!
Report as
That's my favorite line, then he slams the car door. That was the line I was referring to... You got it down better than me... I've seen 20 times... At least..

And... Hotness...

I have it recorded on my dvr, and have it on DVD. That movie is just like my marriage, lol. My husband even talks like that!
Report as
It's not easy. My husband is cute, but doesn't look like that. That makes the smart-ass remarks harder to deal with sometimes.

Ever see the original Notebook? That was a love story.
Report as
No, I haven't seen that one.

....but I can't imagine it being better than the latest. I cry every time I watch it, and I don't cry often...

Nope. Find your own type of love. Trust, it's a better feeling when you do your own thing, instead of "copying" the movies.

You should find your own type of love! You do not want it like in the movies because it is fake.
