They want to tell you what they think you want to hear so they can get a little "payoff". Sad but true.

I agree with both yumcupcakes and Susan 18 who have both given very appropriate reasons. Immaturity might also be a reason.

Boys feel that if they tell you that you may go a little further than kissing. Like my good friend once told her daughter the boys have to heads and the little one is doing the thinking

because people want to give others a false sense of security or try and give themselves a false sense of security as well this is just human psychology or the d bag nature of a lot of people
