The best way for you to keep nail polish on your nails without having to worry about chipping is to apply double coats of top coat or base coat. I find that when I apply a clear top coat I get up to 1 week and half without any chipping. All the best.
I am not sure about double coats of base and top coats.. I know that if you put on too many layers of nail polish it will peel off very easily. I would suggest to buff your nails slightly before you use nail polish, and make sure to use a base coat and a top coal sealant.
they actually have a certain nail polish at some places that its kind of like gel. it usually costs 30 dollars but it stays on for 3 weeks without chipping. i believe its called ovium or something like that
I recently bought this thing called "chip skip" by OPI. I bought the tiny bottle, because I wasn't confident it would work, but 5 days ago, I painted my nails with a coat of it on top, and I haven't had a single chip since! The only bad thing about it is that you have to wait untill your nails are completely dry, or some of the colour will come off on the brush. I made that mistake and now what was once a clear formula has a permanent pink tint...
I have so much trouble with my nails chipping, that I kind of stopped painting my nails for a while; I just didn't think it was worth it, untill i found this!! If you can find this stuff, you should deffinetly buy it; I know I'm going back for another bottle soon! It might be kind of expensive (full bottle), but if you paint your nails frequently, it's totally worth it.
