It is best to contact the DOT in your state to be sure and to avoid a future ticket, but for many drivers, they must have at least 8 hours of off time logged. I am also pretty sure that it has to do with the size of truck that you are driving as well. If the truck that you drive does not require a CDL, there may be no time frame.
