Can i still use a refrigerator that has had mold growing in it?

Have a refrigerator that has sat for a year in the garage unused. The doors were propped open but must have been bumped because it was completely shut and due to the smell, I discovered the mold. Is this fridge still safe to clean out and use?

If this refrigerator is clean and working you can use it after a good washing with a solution of bleach and water. Do this a few times to make sure it is clean from mold. You may have to remove the rubber seals and wash them also as the mold may be behind them.

This refrigerator was plugged in but then unplugged. Had been propped open to prevent mold but the kids bumped it shut. Didn't discover it for a month or more since it's in the garage and not a "hot spot". Now I need to know if it's safe to use after we clean out the mold or if it would simply be easier to get rid of it as a precaution.
