Can i take nortriptyline, xanax, vicodin and tramadol together without negative side effects?

My doctor put me on nortriptyline for mood disorders/headaches and xanax for anxiety and vicodin and tramadol for pain and I'm curious to know if these drugs combined can cause any serious side effects?

If one doctor prescribed all four drugs, then I would assume there is no harm in taking them all together. However, I would speak to the pharmacist where you get/got them filled at, they will be able to give you all the details on the interactions of these drugs together.

Your doctor didn't tell you? Why didn't you ask your doctor if there will be side effects from the drugs HE prescribed?......

No. There are at several significant side effects to this medication mix. It is surprising if not incredible that a doctor or pharmacist would knowingly give the ok to this. Don't take it until you have rechecked your doctors instructions personally please.

I have access to pharmaceutical interaction verification. It can check meds but not your personal situation. Your doc may have reasons for prescribing but make sure it's correct as the risk is SIGNIFICANT.

DO NOT TAKE ANY MEDICATIONS WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN FIRST. You may be able to take these meds but the doctor will have to decide what the doses are and how often. I'm taking several of these medications now with no side effects but that is me....not you.
