Midnight mass is the first mass of Christmas day. People often go because it maybe part of a Christmas tradition, or they like the Christmas music program. Each mass on Christmas day has different readings that relate to the events around the birth of Christ.
Midnight Mass is one of the most recognized ceremonies in the christian world. But it is only one of the masses of Christmas celebrating the 12 days of christmas.
