How do I permanently remove a link in my history that is

Today I noticed in my history there is a link that says "This page not set a title" and then a link to edpn dot ebay dot com and then some number. When you click on the link it takes you to nowhere. Also, I can delete my browsing history and cache, but then it is right back. I have found some articles on it where apparent experts say a lot, but none of them mention how to get rid of it. Can someone please tell me what this is and how I can permanently get rid of it?

FYI, I have scanned with Microsoft Essentials and Ad-Adawre, but neither of them detect any virus.

To permanently remove a link in your history you need to open internet explorer, click on the "Add to favorites" icon. A drop-down menu will appear. Select the "Organize Favorites..." option. The "Organize Favorites" window will open, Select the folder or link you would like to delete and then delete. Read more:

Unfortunately that did not work. This isn't something I have typically seen in my history. I usually go in and delete my history each day, and that is pretty much what you suggested. But the link is still there. It is:|8672969|711137068170232|1|10|0|2|

Hi, I have experienced this issue
Eventually resolved it ( I think ) by the following

Open Browser, select "Tools" from tool bar
Then Internet Options
Then " Advanced" tab
Then " Reset" button
Restart your machine

This appears to have worked for me ( nearly 24 hours now )
