Unfortunately, yes, the Poughkeepsie Tapes are very real. There are two documentaries about the tapes. One, is the fabricated film that mocks the killings. The second is a real documentary with interviews from FBI agents, police, and investigators that specialize in profiling serial killers. There were 800 tapes discovered at the killers residence, along with the mangled, dismembered bodies in the back yard, the torture chamber in the basement, and the coffin, in which police found Cheryl Dempsey. She "was" the only survivor. Two weeks after she was released from the hospital, Cheryl committed suicide. She endured ten horrific years of sexual, psychological, and physical abuse. She stated in her suicide letter that she wanted to go home to her "Master" and that they both loved each other. Aside from Cheryl, there were countless more who endured different methods of torture and death. Needless to say, many people believe this event never took place, because many do not want to believe things like this happen and/or don't fully research the correct sources. Watch the "real" documentary.
