To get over someone that you love, immerse yourself in something new like a hobby or language. Concentrate on other relationships like family and friends. Distance yourself from the person you want to get over. Forgive the person if he/she did anything wrong as this will make it easier to move on.
Watch the movie 'Swim Fan'. Lots of excellent pointers in that flick. Erika Christensen hits the nail on the head on real life ways to get over someone while making sure that someone knows what your going through in the process.
Love of your life? Fling? Or, never really that into him? Experts disagree on any one way. Mos def a fav movie and mocha chip ice-cream and your BFF is one way to go. Also getting into activities with friends, volunteer work and your own career are ways to distract yourself. Time is a great healer. And remember you're not alone.
You wont unless someone better comes along... and trust me they will.. but if your looking back at the closed door behind you , you wont see the new door that's opened in front of you, we miss out on the good sometimes bc/ we think the best is behind us when in reality its infron, your best days are yet to come and your best days are ahead of you not behind you. it will take time.. it may be years days weeks or months ect.. moving on takes time and most always takes longer than you where together..
