How do i switch cameras from the back to the front to video chat on a touch screen phone?

Im using an android touch screen phone and i can't access the camera for video chatting but i can see other people whom i video chat with.. but they can't see me...

There should be a thing on the top of the screen ?? like that if not then go to camera settings u might have something set that u do not know about

Yes i do see these openings at the top, it definetly is a camera. i tried going on camera settings but could not find a possible solution to switching cameras. My phone by the way is a Samsung GalaxyS. thanks for your help :)
