What is the best way to get hired as a florist without public experience?

I have a resume as well as a portfolio that I'm in the process of making of past boutineers, corsages, bouquets, and center pieces I've made. I really want a job as a florist but I've never been able to get hired on. Any ideas other than what I listed?

It's really hard to get a job as a florist without experience. You need to have profession qualification and in order to succeed as a florist. The following personal skills and quality's would give you some benefit, a keen eye for design, color matching and style, some knowledge of plant care, good at dealing with the public, a genuine love of flowers and a desire to work with them, good time management skills, the ability to work quickly and efficiently while under pressure and good interpersonal skills.
