When the USS Arizona sank, the ship stuck out of the water. why did they leave the 945 bodies in the ship instead of recovering them.
The Arizona sank in Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked. The water was so shallow that the top of the ship was still above the surface of the water. 945 men were left inside the ship and later a memorial was made for them. They are still in the ship today. Why were they left and not recovered and sent home?
