Why would us marshals be booking for my neighbour?

so 3 us marshals and 2 co sheriffs came looking for my neighbor the other day. they were askin a lot of questions about him (I don't know his name or anything about him) and tried for about a hour to get into his house (I gave them my landlords number as he's owns my house and the one nxt door). I contacted my landlord and he told me that he had an outstanding warrant for traffic violations and missed court but I dont think they would sent out so many Marshals for missing court.. what do you think? I have 2 young kids and need to know if I should be worried about this guy even though my landlord says he is no threat.,

If a person does something that is against the law it is your right to call the police department and ask them what he did. If you are worried about him being a sex offender you can look that up on the internet. Also, check on the internet and google his name to see what comes up. If it were me I would go to the police and ask if there is anything I should be worried about.

One of the duties of the US marshal is the tracking and arrest of fugitives. They sometimes go in company of local law enforcement. Don't be afraid. You are aware that your neighbor has a problem. Just use reasonable caution.

But would they come out just for a driving violation? It just seems like overkill to me for a petty crime?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here - and say, be afraid. I agree with previous post to a point, but if I saw that my neighbor was getting a visit from the US Marshals - I'd assume they did something very bad. Hey, maybe they are just being brought in for questioning or to be a witness, but this is why Gladys Kravits was always screaming for Abner.

That's what I thought.. The don't send out marshals for a missed court date for a driving offense do they?

Nope - those dudes are pretty much the worst case scenario for anyone indulging in nefarious activities.

Do I have to talk to U.S Marshals? They came to my house looking for my children's father which wasnt here but I still wouldn't let them in without a search warrant then threaten to have my kids taken if he comes around us..they came back the next morning while I was taking my son to school and entered my house while I was gone through a door I forgot to lock and wouldn't so me the warrant they claimed of having and they said they'd be back but I have no clue where he is and he wont come around our kids even if we wanted him to because he doesn't want them taken. But my question is do I have to keep taking to them im tired of them being rude in front of my kids and also they never showed or told me who they were I just saw they all had U.S Marshals on their vest. They dont show up unless I am alone with my five kids and I feel like they are trying to scare me into saying something I truly have no clue about.

They are doing the same thing to my mom. My brother is a fugitive and they are harassing my mom and my other brother. My mom already told them my brother was in Mexico, but they do not believe her. They have threatened her and told her they were going to take her grand kids away. They gave her papers the other day that said she has until 121513 to make him turn himself in or they are charging her with abiding a fugitive.
