My HP monitor won't turn on when I turn on my computer? It will say no signal and then go into sleep mode.

Sounds like there is either something wrong with the connection or the video card.
There is no signal getting to your monitor, so check to make sure that the cable you are using is working. Try another cable, or try hooking it to another monitor. If the cable is not to blame, then perhaps the video port on your computer has gone bad, or there is another one that the computer is using. Usually if you have a video card in your computer, the built-in video will stop working. Try changing ports on the back of the computer to see if that fixes it. If that still doesn't, see if your monitor has multiple inputs. Some have both a VGA and a DVI. Make sure your monitor is set to use the port you are hooked into, or try using the other one instead if that doesn't work.
If all else fails, and you can't get the monitor to work on a different computer altogether, then you may have to have your monitor serviced. Contact HP at this point to arrange for it to be repaired.

Thanks for responding in kind to someone that actually put an effort into answering. Some people have phones and other computers that can access the internet, so it is only logical they would have used a different computer or mobile device to ask this question.
