Do squirrels hurt you

Report as
barbarabliss

Like wild rabbits and other creatures outside, they will fear you if you try to handle them, and may bite or scratch. Just because they look like little stuffed toys does not mean they are.

Not unless they fear you. They are generally sweet animals.

Sometimes squirrels can carry rabies. Be nice to the squirrel and you should be fine.

They are WILD animals and cannot be tamed-I would not suggest trying to handle them.

If you corner one they will bite and scratch you, you might get RABIES, otherwise they won't because they're animals of prey, they aren't predators.

If you find one when they are a baby they will be nice. I had a friend who had one as a pet, and it was very friendly.

If they bite or scratch you, I would think yes.... However there natural instinct is to run, not attack. If you are dealing with a wild squirrel, I would beware rabies.... And if you want one as a pet.... I don't know if that's such a great idea.

no they just bite if your show any harm towards them or if there scared them show self defense but don't worry you wont be attacked by an angry mod of squirrels in the streets and squirrels aren't prone to get rabies
