The 150-foot pedestal of the Statue of Liberty was designed by American, Richard M. Hunt. It was built by General Charles P. Stone, also an Americans. The steel supports used to constructs the pedestal were designed by Alexander Eiffel, who also designed the Eiffel Tower in France.
