A golden retriever, but not a puppy. You can probably find one that's full grown that needs a new home. They are super smart and make just about the best friend you could ever find. They love everyone and adapt well to visiting grandkids.
Definitely a puggle. They are low matinence, need little grooming, little excercise and not a lot of training. A puggle is also really small, so less for an owner to handle and they have sweet dispositions. Good luck.

I agree with adopting an older dog from an animal shelter. There are plenty of older dogs waiting for homes that have sweet dispositions. There were so many great suggestions on here. Smaller dogs need to walk less. If you have a big yard for a bigger one to run in than it is not so much an issue. Depends on your activity level. Another piece of advice would be to talk to a neighborhhood veterinarian or someone at an animal shelter. These people would be more than happy to help you decide who is best suited to become a member of the family. Hope this helped.
I agree with Nicnac33... There are a lot of really good dogs in shelters that need good forever homes. A lot of these dogs have been fostered in host families homes, and they would have the knowledge of how that pet would be with you. Talk to them, they know all these animals and will be able to help you in finding the one dog that's just right for you. Don't go on impulse.... Be sure before you choose. You may consider fostering for a shelter, that would give you a good insight on which dog would be best for you. Good Luck.... Nothing is better than having a dog own you!!!
