My aunt visited today, and a few hours later I found out that her grandchild (who lives with her) has chicken pox. Can my child be at risk?

Chicken pox can be very infectious in the case where you are in a room with someone who has contracted the disease. It spreads in the air from person to person and a child who has not got it has a high risk of contracting it if your aunt caught it. You can consult your doctor just to be sure that your child is okay.

Your child has likely been vaccinated against it. Which that doesn't mean they can't get it, at least it won't be too bad.
